Britni Wilcher

Senior Advisor, Health and Labor Economics

Britni Wilcher is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow jointly affiliated with Stanford University and the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. She is an economist who uses advanced statistical modeling to examine gender disparities in the health and labor markets. She evaluates how policies can attenuate the health and employment impact on women of the double shift—of paid and unpaid work— with research examining paid family leave policies on mothers’ employment. Dr. Wilcher’s work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Labor Economics, Health Economics, and Value in Health. She has served as a consultant for federal agencies and has taught at Stanford University, the University of San Francisco, and elsewhere. She holds a PhD in Economics, with a specialization in gender analysis in economics, from American University.
